Syracuse's 9-goal binge beats Georgetown, 19-13

Host No. 3 Syracuse -- paced by junior attack Rob Kavovit with five goals -- outscored No. 10 Georgetown 9-0 in the fourth quarter to erase a three-goal deficit for a 19-13 victory.

The Hoyas led 13-10 after three quarters, but the Orangemen scored four goals in the first five minutes of the fourth to take the lead for good.

North Carolina 18, Penn State 9: No. 5 North Carolina (3-0) completed a successful three-game opening homestand by defeating No. 14 Penn State (2-1) in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Salisbury State 22, St. Mary's 6: All-American Jason Coffman scored seven goals, including the 200th of his career, and added six assists to lead Salisbury State (1-0, 1-0) over visiting St. Mary's (1-1, 0-1) in a Capital Athletic Conference game.

The win marked the 33rd straight for the two-time defending national champion and extended the Sea Gulls' regular-season winning streak to 52.

Michigan State 14, Penn 6: Attackman Mike Nicolosi scored four goals for Michigan State (1-2) against Penn (1-1) in Philadelphia.
