Bandits tonight

March 05, 1996

Opponent: Carolina Monarchs

Site: Baltimore Arena

Time: 7

Radio: WITH (1230 AM), WAMD (970 AM)

Outlook: The Monarchs have won just one of their past 11 games (1-7-3), but have not lost any ground to the Bandits (2-6-2) and still trail them by just a point in the battle for the last playoff spot in the AHL Western Conference. The Bandits end a seven-game home stand, having gone 1-5 so far, and they didn't win a game against Southern Division rivals throughout February (0-5-2). Carolina is 5-2-2 against their fellow expansion team and 3-1 at the Arena, mainly due to forward Brad Smyth, who has 53 goals and 100-plus points in 57 games.
