The Baltimore County Department of Health is asking children age 9 and younger to name its new mascot, a gray and white husky that is part of a campaign to promote the national Childhood Immunization Initiative.

The grand prize for the contest, which runs through April 12, is a $300 shopping spree. Other prizes include free admission to the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Maryland Science Center and the Baltimore Zoo toy huskies and T-shirts.

Entry forms can be picked up at Baltimore County health centers, at county library branches and from school nurses at elementary schools. Winners will be announced May 2. For information about the contest, call 887-3078. For more information about immunizations, call 887-2705.
