Outlook: The Capitals, still operating without RW Peter Bondra (groin), D Mark Tinordi (concussion) and D Brendan Witt (broken wrist), will try to conclude their three-game road trip without a loss. After beating the New York Rangers, 5-3, and tying the Florida Panthers, 2-2, the Caps take on a more desperate team. Boston is in a five-team battle for the final two Eastern Conference playoff spots, and, like the Caps, they're hurting. D Al Iafrate (knee) continues to be out, as do RW Cam Neely (arthritic hip), RW Jozef Stumpel (broken cheekbone) and LW Dave Reid (broken finger).
