Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A man armed with a sawed-off shotgun robbed the Kentucky Fried Chicken in the 3300 block of W. Cold Spring Lane on Monday of less than $100.

Southwestern District

Theft: Someone stole a yellow picnic table Monday outside a day care center in the 4400 block of Parkton St. It was valued at more than $100.

Northern District

School burglary: Cassette tapes and a cassette player were stolen Monday by someone who entered the Barclay Elementary School in the 2900 block of Barclay St. through a rear door.

Robbery: A resident of the 600 block of Dumbarton Ave. was in the 3900 block of York Road on Monday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $30.

Robbery: A resident of the 2300 block of Guilford Ave. was in the 300 block of E. 33rd St. on Monday when a man robbed him of $20.

Western District

Gunfire/arrests: Officers Michael Smith and William Molick reported that gunshots were fired at them in the 2200 block of Presstman St. on Sunday. After a brief chase on foot, they and other officers arrested three suspects and seized two handguns.

Robbery: A 14-year-old girl waiting at a bus stop in the 2300 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway was assaulted Monday by two teen-age girls who struck her with an umbrella and stole her leather jacket, valued at nearly $200.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A man who implied he had a gun robbed Hamilton Park liquors in the 2300 block of E. Northern Parkway on Monday of an undisclosed sum of money.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Holiday Inn motel in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road of an undisclosed sum of money Monday.

Robbery: A man robbed the Rite Aid pharmacy in the 8600 block of Liberty Road of property valued at $60 Monday after shoving aside a clerk.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery try: A man tried to rob the Motel 6 in the 1600 block of Whitehead Court on Monday, but fled empty-handed when a desk clerk refused to open the cash register.

Robbery: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed the Royal Farm Store in the 5300 block of Old Court Road on Monday of $100.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Beltway Pharmacy in the 6100 block of Edmondson Ave. on Monday of an undisclosed sum of money. The man struck a customer with the gun and stole her purse containing cash and property.
