Salisbury men 8th seed women face Goucher

Salisbury State will be seeded eighth in the Middle Atlantic Region and play at No. 1 seed Franklin and Marshall on Thursday night in the first round of the 64-team NCAA Division III men's basketball tournament. The Sea Gulls received an automatic bid after winning the Capital Athletic Conference tournament.

The Salisbury State women's team received an at-large bid to its 64-team NCAA Division III tournament.

The Sea Gulls, who lost to Marymount in the CAC final, are seeded No. 7 and will travel to No. 6 Goucher on Wednesday night in an Atlantic Region game.

Johns Hopkins women are seeded No. 3 in the Mid-Atlantic Region and will be home Wednesday against No. 6 Alvernia (Pa.).

This is the first time that Salisbury State's men and women have been in the tournament in the same year.
