BWI, airline data available on Internet

If you're trying to figure out the best place to park at BWI or where to find Euram's ticket counter, you might call the airport. Or log onto the Internet.

Baltimore-Washington International Airport now has a home page the World Wide Web. Users can get a broad range of information about the airport -- including terminal maps, ground transportation and parking rates -- at the "" address.

If you wanted to travel from BWI to Washington Dulles International, for instance, you could get information about fares for limousines, buses and cabs, and some departure times.

Internet pages are a growing trend among airports as well as airlines. According to Global Travel Village, a Baltimore travel consultant specializing in computer services, the BWI home page was used more than 22,000 times in January alone.

Currently, the BWI home page lists all the international airlines at BWI and what cities they serve, and Internet users can obtain specific flight information about a growing number of carriers serving BWI. The users can also book and pay for some flights via the Internet.
