A Columbia woman was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Wednesday after her car flipped over a guardrail on Interstate 95 in Elkridge, the Howard County Fire and Rescue Department said yesterday.

Estella Wallace, 20, was pinned inside the car for about 20 minutes before fire and rescue workers were able to free her, said Sgt. Robert Wiseman, a department spokesman.

She was discharged from the hospital.

The accident occurred about 6 p.m. on a stretch of I-95 between Route 175 and Route 100, he said.
