2 men, 1 of them armed, rob convenience store

Two men -- one with a handgun -- robbed a convenience store in Columbia's Oakland Mills village Tuesday, Howard County police said.

At about 1:20 a.m, two suspects entered the Royal Farm store in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road. One displayed a handgun and demanded cash and cigarettes from the 24-year-old male clerk.

The suspects fled with an undetermined amount of cash and were last seen running east from the store. Police used a dog to search for the suspects but were unsuccessful.

Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.

Call the Metro Crime Stoppers Hotline at 276-8888.
