Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Bank robbery: A man, who gave a teller a note that said he had a gun, robbed the Citibank in the first block of St. Paul St. yesterday.

Assault: A 41-year-old resident of the 2200 block of Linden Ave. was near his home yesterday when he was attacked by several youths, who struck him several times with a piece of wood. He was treated for cuts at Maryland General Hospital and released.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A resident of the 1300 block of Ramblewood Road was near his home Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of a leather carrying pouch containing cash and property, all valued at more than $100.

Northern District

Theft: A compact disc player, stereo speakers and a radio, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Tuesday from a trailer parked in the 3900 block of Canterbury Road.

Western District

Assault: A 26-year-old man was about to enter a store in the 1700 block of W. Fayette St. yesterday when he was attacked by a man who struck him several times with a baseball bat. The victim was treated at Bon Scours Hospital.

Southern District

Burglary: Tools and floor tiles, all of unknown value, were stolen yesterday from a house in the 1700 block of W. Lombard St.

Burglary/arrest: Police entered a house in the 200 block of S. Fulton Ave. yesterday and arrested a man after a witness told them someone had broken in. Robert White, 39, of the 800 block of N. Mount St., was charged with burglary.

Burglary/assault: A 65-year-old resident of the 200 block of S. Mount St. surprised a man who had broken into her home yesterday. The man escaped.

Stolen car: A red 1988 Subaru with tags CRG 627 was stolen yesterday from a repair garage in the 1300 block of Key Highway.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Two bikes with a combined value of $300 were stolen Tuesday from a locker in an apartment building in the 2100 block of Cameron Drive.

Woodlawn Precinct

Carjacking: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed a man of his 1987 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with tags 71C499 in the 1600 block of Ingleside Ave. Tuesday.

Shoplifting/arrest: A 25-year-old man from the 600 block of N. Augusta Ave. in Baltimore City was arrested Tuesday when he attempted to leave Best Buy in the 1700 block of Belmont Ave. without paying for computer equipment valued at nearly $400.
