Road accident puts man in Shock Trauma

An Ellicott City man was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Monday after his car collided with a tractor trailer in Elkridge, Howard County Fire and Rescue says.

Xavier Gooden, 37, was listed in fair condition yesterday.

The accident occurred about 10:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Dorsey Road near the Best Western Hotel, said Sgt. Robert Wiseman, a fire and rescue spokesman.
