Outlook: UMBC posted a major upset Saturday, a 62-61 victory over North Carolina-Asheville, which was tied for first place in the Big South Conference. Senior G Tony Thompson (16.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg) had 22 points, and junior F Marc Lay added 10, including two free throws with 1.6 seconds left. A win over Drexel would be even bigger. The Dragons lead the North Atlantic Conference at 15-1 and have won eight in a row and 16 of 17. They've beaten Towson State twice this season, and one of their losses came against Oklahoma, 85-78. They lead the series with UMBC, 4-1. At times, UMBC freshman C Lenny Barber, making his third start, will be matched up against Drexel senior Malik Rose (21.2 ppg, 12.4 rpg). Rose had 34 points in Sunday's 82-78 win over Delaware, and has led the Dragons in scoring in five of their past six games. Junior guard Jeff Myers (19.2 ppg, 6.2 rpg) had 24 points in Friday's 75-56 win at Towson State.
