Coppin State (15-8) at South Carolina State (17-6)

Outlook: The Eagles keep rolling along, winning 12 of their past 13 games to set up tonight's showdown between two teams tied for first place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference at 12-1. Junior F Reggie Welch (17.9 ppg, 7.1 rpg) had 21 points and seven rebounds in Saturday night's 78-60 victory at North Carolina A&T. Senior G Allen Watson had 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and junior C Terquin Mott (19.5 ppg) added 13 points. South Carolina State defeated Howard on Saturday, 77-63. Derrick Patterson averages about 16 ppg and almost 9.0 rpg. These teams will play again on Thursday at the Coppin Center in a makeup game. The Eagles lead the series, 15-7, and have won the past six.

Mount St. Mary's (17-6) at St. Francis (11-12)

Outlook: Senior G Chris McGuthrie scored a career-high 41 points for the Mount in Saturday night's 80-69 victory at Robert Morris. Senior G Riley Inge added 18 points, as the Mount extended its winning streak to 11 games and improved to 13-2 in the NEC. McGuthrie has 70 points in his past two games. This is the Mountaineers' final road game of the season, and if they stay atop the NEC, they'll be home throughout the tournament. They lead the series, 19-14. St. Francis (Pa.) lost to Rider on Saturday, 81-49, but has won four of its past six. The Mount already has one win over the Red Flash (9-6 in NEC) this season, 73-44, on Jan. 22. McGuthrie had 28 points. St. Francis is the lowest-scoring team in the Northeast Conference, averaging 64 ppg. The Mount leads the NEC at 76 ppg.

Loyola (9-12) at Canisius (16-7)

Site: Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Convention Center

Outlook: The Greyhounds had lost three of their previous four games before Saturday night's 80-68 win at Niagara. Sophomore G Mike Powell had 25 points, and senior G Teron Owens broke out of a slump with 21. Loyola will try to avenge a 72-67 loss to Canisius on Feb. 10. Powell (20.4 ppg) scored a career-high 34 points in that game, and junior F/G Anthony Smith added 17. Powell has 90 points in his past three games. Loyola is 6-4 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Canisius (7-4 in MAAC) bounced back from last week's upset loss to Niagara by defeating Siena, 66-49, on Saturday. Senior Darrell Barley averages more than 21 points and eight rebounds per game, both tops in the MAAC. He also shoots better than 50 percent from the field. Canisius defeated Loyola three times last season and leads the series, 13-5.
