Man charged in thefts from cars

February 15, 1996

A 19-year-old Westminster man was being held in Carroll County Detention Center yesterday on $100,000 full bond after being charged in a series of thefts from cars in mid-January.

Jason Michael Feuer of Pennsylvania Avenue was charged yesterday with six counts of being a rogue and vagabond, four charges of theft of less than $300, two charges of theft of more than $300 and one count of theft scheme involving the incidents.

Six county residents reported thefts of property from vehicles Jan. 13 or 14, according to court records. Items taken in the thefts -- in Mount Airy, Sykesville and Westminster -- included two cellular phones, credit cards, car parts and $20.

Over the past month, Mr. Feuer has been charged with similar offenses and credit card violations in five other cases. He was held without bail in one of those cases.
