High school student is beaten, robbed

February 15, 1996

A 16-year-old Old Mill High School student was beaten and robbed of a binder and a notebook Tuesday, county police said.

The boy, who was not identified by police, was not hospitalized.

The boy was walking home along Shetlands Lane when two young men approached him and demanded money. The boy told them he didn't have any, and both young men punched the boy in the head, police said.

The boy dropped his book bag and ran to the school, police said. When he returned, a notebook and a binder were missing from the bag, police said. Police had no description of his assailants.
