An Annapolis man foiled a carjacking Monday when he blew his car horn and scared off the armed assailant, police said.
Thomas E. Davis III, 53, told police that he was walking to his car parked in the 600 block of Ridgely Ave. about 6:30 p.m. when he heard a noise behind him.
Mr. Davis quickly got into the car and locked the doors, but a man walked up to the driver's side, pointed a gun at him and told him to get out, police said.
Mr. Davis blew the horn and the gunman ran away, police said.
Police searched the area but could not find the armed man.
