Robber sprays clerk's face, takes cash from gas station

A man armed with an unknown liquid sprayed a clerk of a Linthicum gas station in the face and robbed the station of an undisclosed amount of money yesterday, county police said.

Carl Almoney, 26, suffered only a slight eye irritation from the spray and refused medical treatment, police said.

Mr. Almoney told police a man walked into the store shortly before 1 a.m., sprayed him in the face, took cash from behind the counter, and ran. Police do not have a description of the man.
