Outlook: The Wichita Wings, who have been playing since 1979, are staging their first All-Star Game. Spirit player/coach Mike Stankovic will start for the Americans and Franklin McIntosh is a reserve. The American Division has won four of the past five, including a 29-24 victory last year, the highest-scoring game in the event's nine-year history. The Spirit's Kevin Sloan scored five of his seven points in a wild fourth quarter to secure the win.
