The New York Islanders will be without center Travis Green for two to four weeks with a knee injury suffered Thursday night in a loss to the New York Rangers.

Green, perhaps the Islanders' most consistent performer this season, sprained his right knee while sliding into the goal post.

Green, 25, entered yesterday's game with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim tied for the team lead in scoring with 51 points (19 goals, 32 assists).

Alexander Semak will take Green's place at center between Niklas Andersson and Zigmund Palffy.
