Sherrie Little has been appointed as the new marketing director for Cranberry Mall in Westminster. She will manage advertising, marketing and promotional programs for the 100-store mall. The Annapolis resident has a bachelor's degree from National-Louis University in Evanston, Ill.

C. Alan Jefferson has been promoted to vice president in the commercial lending division of Taneytown Bank & Trust. He has served the bank's business customers since 1992 in the Columbia office.

Brenda K. Anders has been promoted to vice president of mortgage servicing at Taneytown Bank & Trust.

She has been with the banking institution for nine years, serving the mortgage customer base.

Paul Steger and James Mueller have been named the top producers for Long & Foster's Hampstead office during January. Mr. Steger was top listing agent and Mr. Mueller the top selling agent.

Nancy Utz, secretary at Long & Foster's Hampstead branch, recently attended an "Appreciation Day" for branch administrators, assistants and secretaries for the realty company's Mid-Atlantic offices. The event was held at the company's training facility in Calverton.

John Eichler received the top listing associate award for January at O'Conor, Piper & Flynn's Hampstead office. Top sales associate award went to Maggy Rosenberger. Liz Stepp earned the top production award.

Patricia Hickey has been pro moted to manager of the Baltimore-based certified public accounting firm of Stout, Causey & Horning. She was a senior accountant with the company for the past two years. The Westminster resident has a master's degree in business administration from Loyola College.

Chris Papas has been promoted to vice president of food and beverage for Manor Care Hotels. The Eldersburg resident will be responsible for implementing systems and programs to develop and support hotel food and beverage operations at Manor Care Hotels' full service hotels. He has been with the firm since 1992. Gary Clark, president of the Ellicott City-based GYC Builders, has announced the company's opening of a new office at 150 E. Main St., Westminster.

Clark & Associates, a companion real estate sales company, also has located at the same address.

Co-owner Joan Harris said the company is different from other developers in that GYC "is committed to the preservation of the beauty of the natural environment."

GYC Group Ltd. is building single-family homes in The Paddocks, Challedon and Ship's Quarters in the Mount Airy area.
