Remodelor's Council award goes to Ilex Construction

Ilex Construction & Development Inc. won the award for Best Residential ($200,001 and over) from the Remodelor's Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland earlier this month. The award was given for the company's work on the Schroeder residence in Owings Mills. The architect was Penza Associates Architects Inc. The interior designer was Susie Palmer of Alexander Baer and Associates. Landscape designer was Walter Reynolds.

West, Campbell assume Realtor leadership posts

Steve Campbell Realty Co. announced that sales associate Janice B. West and owner Stephen A. Campbell have assumed leadership positions with local professional organizations. Mrs. West was elected to a second one-year term as president of the Real Estate Brokers of Baltimore. A graduate of Coppin State College, she holds the Graduate of the Realtors Institute of Maryland designation.

Mr. Campbell was appointed to a two-year term as a director of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and selected to serve on the Maryland Association of Realtors Legislative Committee for 1996.

He has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Baltimore and is a certified residential brokerage manager.

City Home Builders elect Joseph Fonte president

Joseph J. Fonte, president of Signature Management Inc., a real estate management and development company, was recently installed as president of the Baltimore chapter of the Home Builders Association of Maryland.

He previously served as vice president with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Inc., both New York investment banking firms.

Mr. Fonte is director of the Baltimore Harbor Endowment and People Encouraging People. He is a former board member of the Downtown Partnership and the Associated Italian American Charities.

Heart Association campaign assisted by Long and Foster

Long and Foster Real Estate Inc. offices throughout the state are assisting the Maryland Affiliate of the American Heart Association with its February telephone fund-raising campaign.

Long & Foster Realtors will hold "Teleparties" at the firm's Maryland locations from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 19-23 to raise money for heart disease research programs and community education.

Alice Burch, vice president of the company's 32-office Baltimore region, is chairwoman of the 1996 "Teleparty" during American Heart Month.

Coldwell Banker Grempler seminars in Arbutus

Mortgages, interest rates, house prices and qualifying to purchase a home will be some of the topics discussed at a free seminar the Arbutus Coldwell Banker Grempler office is holding at 7 p.m. March 6 and 10 a.m. March 9.

Each person attending the meeting at 1515 Sulphur Spring Road in Arbutus will receive a copy of the Coldwell Banker Best Buyer Guidebook.

The Bozzuto Group named Stephen D. King controller for the Greenbelt-based real estate developer and its subsidiaries. Mr. King previously served as controller for Kaempfer Management Services in Washington. He is a certified public accountant and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland.

Century 21 Diana Realty Inc. said Dianne P. Hebert has joined the Bel Air firm as a sales associate. She is a member of the Harford County Association of Realtors.

Gilbert D. Marsiglia & Co. Inc. said Maynard J. Belt, a graduate of the University of Baltimore, has joined the Lutherville firm as a sales associate.
