Jail time suspended in drug case

February 08, 1996

A Pikesville man who pleaded guilty to possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in Carroll County Circuit Court yesterday was given a suspended one-year jail sentence.

Judge Francis M. Arnold placed Richard Norman Greisz, 19, of the first block of Esperanza Court on two years of supervised probation and ordered that he undergo drug evaluation and any treatment deemed necessary by parole and probation officials.

Court documents showed that police stopped a 1982 Chevrolet Cavalier being driven erratically by the defendant on Ridge Road in Eldersburg just before midnight June 26. He was arrested after police said marijuana seeds and a plastic bag with 21.6 grams of marijuana were found in the car.

Eldersburg: Gamber units responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 5:36 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Woodridge Lane.

Pikesville: Sykesville firefighters assisted Baltimore County in a three-alarm building fire at 8:59 p.m. Tuesday on Tentmill Road. The units were out two hours and 50 minutes.
