Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Robbery/arrest: A 20-year-old woman was about to pay for items at the Stop, Shop & Save in the 700 block of W. North Ave. on Tuesday when a man robbed her of $40. A suspect was stopped by a store security officer and held for police. Charged with robbery was Warren Eugene Matthews, 34, of the 2600 block of Pennsylvania Ave.

Robbery/arrest: A woman was in the 800 block of McCulloh St. when a man robbed her of cash and jewelry, all valued at more than $100, after threatening to harm her child. Later, police arrested Keith Miller, 26, of the 1100 block of Shields Place, and charged him with robbery.

Eastern District

Shooting: A 24-year-old man was in the 1400 block of N. Bond St. yesterday when another man shot him in the stomach. The victim was in good condition at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Shooting: A 20-year-old man was shot twice in the right leg yesterday during an incident in the 900 block of N. Castle St. The victim was in stable condition at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northeastern District

Burglary: An electronic game, boom-box radio, and two gold and diamond rings, all valued at nearly $2,900, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3900 block of Lyndale Ave.

Burglary/arrest: Police arrested a man who stole several hot dogs and a beverage from an apartment in the 1200 block of W. Northern Parkway Tuesday.

Northwestern District

A 1995 Ford with dealer tags 1A49083 was stolen Tuesday in the 4300 block of Hayward Ave.

Stolen car: A red 1994 Dodge Shadow with tags BPR 975 was stolen Tuesday in the 4200 block of Chatham Road.

Western District

Assault/robbery: Police were seeking a man who stabbed a woman in the back, face and neck with a pair of scissors Tuesday at her house in the 200 block of N. Calhoun St. The assailant also robbed her of jewelry valued at more than $1,000.

Robbery: A man with an ice pick robbed a 32-year-old woman of jewelry valued at nearly $600 in the 1600 block of W. North Ave. on Tuesday.

Burglary: Welding equipment and supplies, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Tuesday from ABC Corp. in the 2000 block of Winchester St.

Assault: A 28-year-old man was assaulted by several other men Tuesday in the 1800 block of Longwood St. He was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center and released.

Robbery: A man with a knife robbed a 23-year-old woman of $50 and a leather coat in the 1700 block of Baker St. on Tuesday.

Southwestern District

Stolen car: A white 1987 Acura Legend with tags CJL 196 was stolen Tuesday in the 5200 block of Frederick Ave.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Computer and stereo equipment, all valued at $2,000, were stolen Tuesday from a garage in the first block of N. Dundalk Ave.

Stolen car: A 1985 Chevrolet pickup truck with tags 548704 was stolen Tuesday in the 7000 block of Dunhill Road.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man entered McDonald's restaurant in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Blvd. on Tuesday night, jumped the counter, took money from a cash register, cut a telephone line and fled.
