Outlook: Towson State is 7-2 in its first season in the NAC and a game behind first-place Drexel. The Tigers are coming off Sunday's 81-73 win over Hartford, when seniors Scooter Alexander (18) and Ralph Blalock (17) combined for 35 points. Three other players scored in double figures. Blalock averages 18.4 points, and Alexander 12.7. This is a rematch of the Jan. 11 game won by Towson State, 78-65, behind 24 points from Blalock and 15 from Alexander. The series is tied, 1-1. Northeastern is 1-10 in the NAC and the loser of two straight. The Huskies are 0-7 at home. Senior Lonnie Harrell (14.5 ppg), a transfer from Georgetown, has led them in scoring the past three games and in rebounding the past four.

Loyola (7-9) at Howard (2-15)

Site: Burr Gymnasium, Washington, D.C.

Time: 7:30

Outlook: This nonconference game was postponed in December because of an ice storm. Loyola has won three in a row, including Sunday's 58-50 victory over Manhattan, and six of its past eight. Sophomore G Mike Powell had 16 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals against Manhattan. Freshman F Nsilo Abraham contributed 13 points and five rebounds, and senior G Teron Owens (Catonsville) had 10 points. Powell averages 18.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Howard has won two in a row after an 0-15 start. The Bison upset Coppin State on Monday night, 63-62, ending the Eagles' 22-game regular-season MEAC winning streak. John Gay's baseline jumper with one second left gave Howard the victory. Freshman G Jabari Outtz averages almost 18 points. This is the first meeting between these schools.
