The owner of the Moran Suzuki car dealership in Ellicott City sold the business last week to a Baltimore County dealership, after nearly two years in Ellicott City.

Timothy M. Moran, president of Moran Motor Sales Inc. in Baltimore, sold the dealership -- on U.S. 40 and Rogers Avenue -- to Shelly Warsaw, president of Suzuki West in Catonsville, Mr. Warsaw said.

Moran Suzuki, which opened in Ellicott City in May 1994, had about 20 employees. Some are employed with the Catonsville franchise and some are with other dealerships, Mr. Moran said. None was left without a job.

The property is available for lease, said John Tacchetti, the land's owner.

"We've had a tremendous amount of interest in the property," said Mr. Tacchetti, citing oil companies, fast food restaurants and automobile dealerships. "We have a couple of proposals already and will decide in about two weeks who to go with."
