Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Shooting: A 44-year-old man was in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. yesterday when he was shot in the left leg by an unknown assailant. He was in good condition yesterday at Maryland General Hospital.

Stolen police car: A green 1993 Dodge with tags BXV 562 and assigned to the city Police Department's Internal Investigation Section was stolen Monday in the 900 block of Madison Ave.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A man was in the 3900 block of Shannon Drive Monday when he was assaulted by two men who robbed him of a video game, a game cartridge and other property, all valued at more than $200.

Northern District

Burglary: Someone threw a metal pipe through the window of the Chung Mee restaurant in the 5600 block of The Alameda on Monday, entered the business and stole money.

Robbery: A man was in the 800 block of Argonne Drive on Monday when a gunman robbed him of more than $100.

Southwestern District

Stolen cab: Royal Cab No. 1109 with unknown tags was stolen Monday in the 2500 block of W. Lexington St.

Western District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a 20-year-old man of a pager and wallet, all valued at nearly $40, in the 2000 block of W. Fayette St. Monday.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a 16-year-old boy of $1 Monday in the 1500 block of N. Fremont Ave.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A compact disc player, a camera and a telephone, all valued at nearly $500, were stolen Monday from a house in the 8500 block of Heathrow Court.


Robbery: An 82-year-old man was in the 7800 block of Shepherd Road on Monday when he was knocked to the pavement by a man who robbed him of his wallet and $60.

Towson Precinct

Stolen car: A 1994 Ford Bronco with tags 754731M was stolen Monday from Towson Marketplace in the 1200 block of Putty Hill Ave.

Stolen car: A gray 1989 Pontiac Grand Am with tags BYB 393 was stolen Monday in the 6600 block of English Oak Road.

Robbery: A county resident was removing cash from an automated teller machine in the 6400 block of York Road on Monday when a gunman robbed him of the money.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Thirty dollars were stolen Monday from the Grease Monkey, an auto repair firm in the 10800 block of York Road.

Woodlawn Precinct

Theft/arrest: Police arrested a man Monday who tried to leave the Montgomery Ward store at Security Square Mall in the 6900 block of Security Blvd. without paying for clothing valued at more than $600.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: A purse, containing cash and other property, was stolen Monday from a resident's room at Charlestown Retirement Center in the 700 block of Maiden Choice Lane.
