Graham named to head McGuire, Woods office

McGuire, Woods, Battle & Boothe LLP has named John S. Graham III as partner-in-charge of the law firm's Baltimore office.

Mr. Graham, 51, is a partner in the law firm's commercial practice section, and is active in domestic and international energy and resource issues. He has worked from the firm's Baltimore office since 1991.

"The managing [partner]-in-charge role is largely administrative," said Mr. Graham. "I expect to continue the practice of law, which is what I really love. I'll also be working with partners and associates as they build their practices."

Mr. Graham is a member of the board of directors of Baltimore's World Trade Center Institute. He also is on the executive committee of the Latin American Business Network and the Mayor's Committee on Hispanic Affairs.

A magna cum laude graduate of Washington and Lee University, Mr. Graham also holds a graduate degree in political economy from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He is a graduate of Yale Law School.

McGuire, Woods employs more than 400 lawyers in the United States and abroad, 27 of them in Baltimore.
