Two sisters charged with shoplifting

...TC Two Baltimore sisters were arrested Sunday at Marley Station mall on shoplifting charges.

Robin Anne Mohr, 34, of the 1100 block of W. Pratt St., and Sherri Lynn Myers, 20, of the 800 block of E. Jeffery St. were charged with theft.

Eddie Garcia, a security guard at the J.C. Penney store in the mall, told police he noticed two women in the store about 4:30 p.m. carrying shopping bags. One of them took a Willie Whistler collectible statue from a display case and put it in the other woman's bag, then put one in her bag, he said.

When the women walked past the registers without paying for the statues, together valued at nearly $430, Mr. Garcia stopped them and held them for police.

Man charged with theft of stereos at Wal-Mart

A Glen Burnie man was accused Sunday of trying to walk away from the Crain Highway Wal-Mart with two personal stereos he hadn't paid for, county police said yesterday.

Lawrence A. Orsie, 35, of the 6400 block of Bricktowne Circle in Glen Burnie, was charged with theft.

Tony Thomas, a security officer for the store in the 7900 block of Crain Highway, told police he saw a man hide the stereos under his coat and head for the door without paying. Mr. Thomas stopped the man on the store parking lot and held him for police.
