Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Baltimore City

Central District

Robbery try: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun tried to rob the Dunkin' Donuts shop in the 200 block of E. `D Baltimore St. yesterday but fled when a clerk cried out to another employee that she was being robbed.

Northern District

Robbery: A man was in the 300 block of Whitridge Ave. on Sunday when two men robbed him of more than $30.

Robbery: An out-of-town resident was in the 3100 block of Swan Drive in Druid Hill Park on Sunday when a man robbed him of

cash and a watch, all valued at $60.

Western District

Shooting: A 41-year-old man was in the 1100 block of Riggs Ave. on Sunday when one of two men shot him in the right leg. He was in good condition yesterday at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed another man of more than $80 Saturday in the 1800 block of Laurens St.

Robbery: A Diamond Cab driver was in the 2600 block of Harlem Ave. on Sunday when two men he had picked up moments earlier robbed him of $80 at gunpoint.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Vandalism: Vandals punctured the tires on at least 15 cars parked in the 2000 block of Bear Ridge and Paulette roads at Hidden Cove Apartments between Sunday night and yesterday morning. Police said several cars had more than one tire punctured and that one car had all four tires flattened.

Towson Precinct

Robbery try: A resident of the 1800 block of Darrich Drive was standing on his porch Saturday night when a gunman approached and demanded his wallet. When the victim resisted, the gunman fired a shot that shattered a bedroom window.

Burglary: Jewelry valued at more than $3,000 was stolen Sunday from a house in the 1000 block of W. Lake Ave.

Carjacking: A female employee of Betty Brite cleaners at Loch Raven Shopping Plaza in the 900 block of Taylor Ave. was in the rear parking lot Sunday night when a gunman pushed her from the car. Before the man drove off, he pointed the gun at her and a man standing in the back door of the cleaners and warned them not to follow. The car is a 1995 Nissan with tags BXM 918.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Tools and other property, all valued at more than $3,000, were stolen during the weekend from a barn, a shed and a trailer in the 3400 block of Black Rock Road.


Robbery: A gunman robbed the High's dairy store in the 8700 block of Liberty Road of less than $100 Sunday.

Robbery: A man robbed the Mars supermarket in the 2300 block of Rolling Road of an undisclosed sum of money Sunday after giving a clerk at the customer service desk a note demanding money.

Sexual assault/robbery: A woman was leaving the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in the 6500 block of Baltimore National Pike on Sunday night when a man forced her into her car and ordered her to drive off. On Upper Mills Circle in Ellicott Mills, the man sexually assaulted the woman before driving her to Wabash and West Belvedere avenues in Baltimore City, where he robbed her of more than $100 and fled on foot.
