Middle school program at Four Seasons

Westminster City Recreation Department and Four Seasons Sports Complex will sponsor a middle school "lock-in" for all Carroll County middle school students.

The lock-in will be held from 10 p.m. Feb. 9 to 6 a.m. Feb. 10 at the sports complex on Route 482 near Hampstead. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door.

The price includes use of the sports complex, movies, pizza, soft drinks and continental breakfast.

Tickets are available from the city recreation office on Longwell Avenue. Information: 848-6962.

Police

Westminster: An employee of the Vehicle Emission Inspection Program on Aileron Court reported Tuesday that someone stole $350 from a lock box in the office.

Westminster: A resident of West Chester, Pa., reported Jan. 22 that someone cut the plastic on the side door of his car and stole two Pioneer speakers while the vehicle was parked at Western Maryland College. He estimated his loss at $255.

Fire

Westminster: Westminster units responded to a truck fire on Baltimore Boulevard at 6:09 p.m. Thursday. Units were out 37 minutes.

Westminster: Units from Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester responded to an apartment fire on Hersh Avenue at 5:01 p.m. Thursday. Units were out 42 minutes.

Westminster: Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester firefighters responded to a building fire in the 140 Village shopping center at 9:36 a.m. Thursday. Units were out 30 minutes.

Reese: Reese and Gamber firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Baltimore Boulevard at 5:29 a.m. Thursday. Units were out five minutes.
