Glen Burnie man beaten, robbed by pair

A Glen Burnie man was beaten and robbed by two men Thursday night but escaped serious injury, county police said.

William Correlli, 41, of the 400 block of Old Stage Road was treated at North Arundel Hospital and released, officials said.

Mr. Correlli told police he was walking on Quarterfield Road near Route 100 about 10:30 p.m. when two men approached and punched him in the head and body. The men took Mr. Correlli's wallet and ran to a waiting Volkswagen, police said.

Severn woman charged in stabbing of boyfriend

Police arrested a Severn woman early Thursday on charges of stabbing her live-in boyfriend, county police said.

Edward Antione Monteiro, 31, of the 8500 block of Pioneer Drive was treated for a stab wound in his back and released from North Arundel Hospital, officials said.

Danielle Darcel Howard, 22, was charged with assault with intent to murder and battery. She was released on her own recognizance Thursday.

Police had gone to the couple's home shortly before 1 a.m. in response to Mr. Monteiro's call that he had been stabbed.

Glen Burnie man's car stolen at Wendy's

A Glen Burnie man was robbed Thursday night by a gunman who took his car, county police said.

Matthew Shannon, 33, told police he was at the Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers in the 8300 block of Veterans Highway about 11:30 p.m. when two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun or rifle, stole his 1985 Buick Century, police said.
