Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Northeastern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a rifle and the other a shotgun, robbed the Giant food store in the 5800 block of Hillen Road on Wednesday.

Northern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man of his wallet and a small sum of money in the 500 block of Chateau Ave. on Wednesday.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Tools and a leather coat, all valued at more than $300, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 4600 block of Old Frederick Road.

Southern District

Shooting: A 16-year-old Southern High School student was walking with a friend near the Cross Street Market yesterday when he got into an argument with three youths. One pulled a handgun and shot him in the back, causing a 2-inch graze wound.

Southeastern District

Drug arrests: Police raided two houses in the 1400 block of Anglesea St. and the 6200 block of Capore Way yesterday and arrested two men and two women on multiple drug charges. Weapons, more than $8,000 worth of suspected cocaine, cutting agents, paraphernalia, more than $3,000 and a 1991 Mitsubishi Galant were seized. Charged and held for bail hearings were David Evans, 25, and Pamela Anderson, 25, both of the Anglesea Street address; James Gillard, 25, of the 1200 block of N. Milton Ave., and Karen Blake, 29, of no fixed address.

White Marsh Precinct

Carjacking: A resident of the 3000 block of Bantry Court was driving his 1989 Mercury Topaz on the parking lot of White Marsh Mall Wednesday when a man with a knife forced him to stop and took his car.

Parkville Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A 1988 Dodge van valued at $5,000 was stolen Wednesday in the 8700 block of Maravoss Lane.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A resident of the first block of Quailwood Court in Parkton arrived home Wednesday and surprised an intruder. When he left to call police on a cellular phone, the intruder fled. Police found property at the front door.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry valued at $6,000 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of Morrow Court.


Robbery: A 29-year-old woman was in the 8000 block of Liberty Road on Wednesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed her of an cash and property.

For the Record

Victim identified: A man found dead Wednesday night in his apartment above a laundromat in the 1900 block of Gough St. in East Baltimore was identified as Zonzell Mitchell, 53. Police said blunt force caused his death.
