Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Bank robbery: A man robbed the First National Bank in the first block of S. Charles St. of an undisclosed sum of money Tuesday. He gave a teller a note demanding money.

Robbery: A man was in the first block of Hollinsworth St. on Tuesday when a gunman struck him over the head with the weapon and robbed him of $27.

Theft: A radio and prescription glasses, all valued at more than $400, were stolen Tuesday from a Toyota sedan parked in the 1300 block of Madison Ave.

Northeastern District

Burglary/assault: A resident of the 1100 block of Metzgar Way was struck with a crowbar by a man who entered his house through a rear door Tuesday.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 5100 block of Darien Road through a rear door Tuesday and stole a video cassette recorder and a cable television box, all valued at $300.

Burglary: Several 45-day temporary tags were stolen Tuesday from Foreign Motors in the 4700 block of Belair Road.

Theft: Antique furniture, a grandfather clock and other household items, all valued at more than $3,600, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1800 block of Burnwood Road.

Robbery: A woman was in the driveway of her home in the 4500 block of Northwood Drive on Tuesday when a man robbed her of $4 and her automated teller machine card.

Robbery: A man who implied he had a gun robbed the Northwood Car Center in the 1500 block of Northwood Road on Tuesday of an undisclosed amount of money.

Northern District

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 4000 block of Hickory Ave. through a rear kitchen window Tuesday and stole a compact disc player, several compact discs and a laptop computer, all valued at more than $4,000.

Western District

Officer assaulted: Officer Frederick Morgan of the Southwestern District was off-duty and working as a security officer Tuesday night at Bon Secours Hospital when a man ran into the emergency room and began a disturbance. The man assaulted Officer Morgan when he attempted to arrest him. The officer was not seriously injured and the man was being held pending charges.

Assault: A 15-year-old boy was in the 1700 block of N. Bentalou St. on Tuesday when several youths struck him with their fists and kicked him. The victim refused medical treatment.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man placed a pair of shoes on the counter at Towson Bootery in the 400 block of York Road on Tuesday, waited until the clerk rang up the sale, then reached into the cash register and stole money.

Robbery: A man robbed the Dunkin' Donuts shop in the 1600 block of E. Joppa Road on Tuesday.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A resident of the first block of Silverton Court was about to enter her car near her home Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed her of $5 and her purse, valued at $100.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A man was walking in the 11700 block of Reisterstown Road on Tuesday when a gunman got out of a car and robbed him of more than $70.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A 16-year-old student at the Milford Mill Academy in the 3800 block of Washington Ave. was walking to a bus stop after school Tuesday when a man with a knife robbed her of $3.50.
