Charges are possible against Terp players

January 18, 1996|By Paul McMullen

The investigation into a series of thefts on the Maryland campus Dec. 3 that may have involved current Terps football players and recruits is nearing an end, and could result in charges being filed next week, said Cpl. Marc Limansky, a campus police spokesman. Limansky said the investigation's findings have been reviewed by the Prince George's County State's Attorney.

Witnesses said that the thefts, which occurred at three residence halls, involved current Maryland players and high school students whom the Terps were recruiting.
