Mott goes 15-for-18, scores 37 to spark Coppin's 92-77 victory

DOVER, Del. -- Junior forward Terquin Mott scored a game-high 37 points to help Coppin State pull away in the second half and post a 92-77 victory over Delaware State yesterday in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Coppin State (6-7, 3-0) rallied from a three-point halftime deficit behind Mott's 15-for-18 performance from the field.

Yesterday's performance gave Mott 63 points in his past two games.

It was Coppin State's ninth straight victory over Delaware State (3-9, 2-2). The Eagles lead the series, 22-8.

The Eagles also received 19 points and 20 rebounds from junior Reggie Welch.

Sophomore Antoine Brockington added 11 points and senior Kyle Locke 10 for Coppin State.

Delaware State led 47-44 at the half, but Mott scored 11 of Coppin's first 18 points in the second half, helping the Eagles to a 63-53 lead.
