Simpson puts his tale on sale

January 13, 1996|By Knight-Ridder

Radio and television talk shows buzzed this week as listeners and viewers responded to the release of snippets from O. J. Simpson's first mass-broadcast video interview detailing his version of the June 12, 1994, night when his ex-wife and her friend were slain.

TV commercials advertising the video -- it's available for $29.95 -- are scheduled to start this weekend. "This may be the only chance that the public gets to vote on O. J.," said Steve Dworman, publisher the newsletter, Infomercial Marketing Report.
