Finksburg: A resident of Davinda Court reported to state police Jan. 3 that someone stole $1,400 worth of guns from his home.

Finksburg: A resident reported to state police that someone stole a bow from his home between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31. Police said they suspect the victim's son took the weapon.

Westminster: An employee of Ligon and Ligon Inc. of Baltimore told state police Monday that someone used a universal key and VTC stole a 426B Caterpillar 4-by-4 with a backhoe from a company lot near Route 27 and Chapel Road. Police later retrieved the $50,000 piece of equipment and charged Charles Edward Stine of the 500 block of Old Westminster Pike with theft.

Westminster: A resident of Pennsylvania Avenue told city police Jan. 4 that someone did $500 worth of damage to his rear brake light and the paint on his car.

Westminster: An employee of Lowe's on Clifton Boulevard reported to city police Jan. 4 that someone stole a $39.93 park bench from the store.

Westminster: A resident of West Main Street reported to city police Jan. 5 that someone stole a $20 Christmas wreath from her front door.

Westminster: An employee of R. S. Mowery & Sons Inc. told city police Jan. 5 that someone broke into the company storehouse on Independence Way and stole $11,400 worth of property.

Westminster: A resident of Fairground Avenue in Taneytown reported to city police Saturday that someone broke into her car and stole the owner's manual and registration while the vehicle was parked at Cranberry Mall.

Westminster: A resident of Baptist Road in Taneytown told city police Saturday that someone smashed the driver's side window of her car and stole money and a playpen. She estimated the loss at $300.

Fire

Finksburg: Reese firefighters responded to a trash fire in the 2900 block of Dede Road at 6:52 a.m. Jan. 5. Units were out an hour.

Westminster: Units from Westminster and Reese responded to a garage fire in the 100 block of Schoolhouse Ave. at 1:21 a.m. yesterday. Units were out an hour.

Westminster: Westminster and Reese units responded to a chimney fire in the 200 block of E. Main St. at 12:31 a.m. yesterday. Units were out 30 minutes.

Westminster: Westminster and Pleasant Valley firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 100 block of Airport Drive at 11:39 p.m. Wednesday. Units were out 54 minutes.

Westminster: Westminster firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 1500 block of Stone Chapel Road at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday. Units were out 44 minutes.

Westminster: Westminster units responded to a car fire in the 800 block of Johahn Drive at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday. Units were out 41 minutes.

Westminster: Westminster units responded to a car fire on Mayfield Court at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday. Units were out 20 minutes.

Westminster: Westminster, Pleasant Valley, Reese and Union Bridge firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the 300 block of Robins Way at 2:19 a.m. Sunday. Units were out 3 1/2 hours. Gamber transferred an engine to Reese and Reese transferred an engine to Westminster.
