Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Theft from auto: A cellular phone valued at nearly $150 was stolen Wednesday from a minivan parked in the 4800 block of Poe Ave.

Western District

Robbery: A resident of the 900 block of Argyle Ave. was in the 1600 block of W. Fayette St. when a man he knew robbed him of $20 at gunpoint Wednesday.

Assault: A 36-year-old resident of the 5000 block of Denmore Ave. was in the 800 block of N. Calhoun St. when a man struck him in the head with a metal tool Wednesday. The victim was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 800 block of Vine St. of cash and property, all valued at about $150, in the 1000 block of W. Lombard St. on Wednesday.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A 21-year-old resident of the 2700 block of Lauretta Ave. was in the 600 block of Poplar Grove St. when one of two occupants of a passing vehicle shot him in the upper right leg Wednesday. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Northeastern District

Stabbing: Two men were arguing in front of their homes in the 1900 block of Woodbourne Ave. when one of them stabbed the other with a knife Wednesday. The victim was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released. No arrest had been made.

Robbery: Police were seeking two men suspected of robbing a 24-year-old man of property valued at more than $300 Wednesday in the 3300 block of Belair Road. Charged in warrants are Donald Johnson, 21, of the 4300 block of Sheldon Ave., and Isaiah Robertson, 17, of the 3000 block of Mayfield Ave. Police said the Robertson youth was charged as an adult.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed Friendly's restaurant in the 9500 block of Belair Road of an undisclosed sum of money Wednesday. After ordering food to go, the man pulled a handgun and ordered an employee to give him the contents of a cash register.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: A ledger book and a metal box containing an undisclosed sum of money were stolen Wednesday from a dental office in the 1000 block of North Point Road.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: An unknown quantity of beer was stolen Wednesday from a storage trailer parked outside the Firehouse Tavern in the 2800 block of E. Joppa Road.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Simon's bakery Wednesday in the 1000 block of Taylor Ave. after breaking a lock and stole a small sum of money.

Robbery: A man pointed an unidentifiable weapon at an attendant of the Crown gas station in the first block of York Road and demanded money Wednesday. The suspect escaped with $30 and at least one pack of cigarettes.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: A 1986 Jeep Wagoneer with tags 382690M was stolen Wednesday from the 12300 block of Glynowings Drive in Reisterstown.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: After placing a greeting card on the counter of the Card Cage at Security Square Mall in the 6900 block of Security Blvd. a man pointed a handgun at the clerk and ordered her to give him the contents of the cash register Wednesday. The gunman escaped with an undisclosed sum.

Wilkens Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A 1992 Jeep Cherokee was stolen Wednesday from the 4200 block of Hollins Ferry Road. The vehicle was seen being driven into the city by a young man.
