Anne Arundel County: closed

Baltimore City: closed; central office open to employees

Baltimore County: closed; central and school offices open

Carroll County: closed; central office open

Local government:

Anne Arundel County: Open

Baltimore City: Open, liberal leave policy in effect for employees. Regular trash pickup for the first time since last week in front of homes on plowed secondary streets.

Baltimore County: Open

Carroll County: Open; landfills open. Some town trash collection to resume; contact private trash hauler.

Harford County: Open

Howard County: Open

Postal Service:

Individual post offices are expected to be open, and employees are expected to report as usual; home delivery depends on condition of side streets.

State and federal offices:

State offices open; federal offices open


Baltimore-Washington International Airport expects normal operations, with two runways open and most planes running on schedule.


Metroliner service again will run on a reduced weekday schedule, with trains departing Washington and New York at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Buses and subways:

MTA plans to have 32 of 56 lines in operation, although some lines will have incomplete or diverted routes and delays are expected. Lines scheduled are 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 29, 31, 35, 36, 44, 55, 62, 64, 91, M-1, M-2, M-3, M-6 and M-16. Call 539-5000 for detailed information.

Light rail:

Regular schedule between Timonium and Cromwell Station, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.


The Camden line will begin running for the first time since last week, joining the Brunswick line on a holiday schedule. The Penn line will resume a regular schedule but three trains will not operate -- the 413, 422 and 428.


Metro will operate between Mondawmin and Johns Hopkins Hospital stations between 5 a.m. and midnight. Bus service will connect the Owings Mills and Reisterstown Plaza stations with the Mondawmin station.

Commuter bus service:

All express commuter buses will operate.
