Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Burglary/arrest: After following fresh footprints in the snow leading from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Argyle Ave. that had been broken into Tuesday, police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending burglary charges.

Northern District

Robbery: A resident of the 1100 block of Argonne Drive was in the 500 block of E. 39th St. on Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of $20.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A resident of the 2700 block of The Alameda was walking in the alley behind his house Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of his wallet and $13.

Burglary: Command Performance Inc. in the 4600 block of Harford Road was broken into Tuesday. It was not immediately known if any property had been stolen.

Robbery: A man was in the 2700 block of Harford Road on Tuesday when four men, one with a handgun, robbed him of a cellular phone and cash, all of unknown value.

Southern District

Assault: A resident of the 1600 block of E. Cold Spring Lane was in the 1400 block of S. Leadenhall St. on Tuesday when he was attacked by a man who struck him with his fists and kicked him. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Northwestern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man of more than $100 in the 3500 block of Calloway Ave. as he walked near his home Tuesday.

Robbery: A resident of the 5000 block of Pembridge Ave. was walking near her home Tuesday when two men robbed her of jewelry and cash, all valued at more than $900. One of the men implied he was armed with a handgun.

North Point Precinct

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player valued at nearly $500 was stolen Tuesday from a 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan parked in the 7400 block of German Hill Road.

Theft: A woman was at Eastpoint Medical Center in the 1000 block of North Point Road when $70 was stolen from her purse Tuesday.

Theft/arrest: Police arrested a 26-year-old man who tried to leave the Sears, Roebuck and Co. store at Eastpoint Mall in the 7800 block of Eastern Blvd. on Tuesday without paying for a cellular telephone battery valued at $60.

Essex

Theft: Someone stole $60 Tuesday from Dee's deli in the 200 block of Eastern Ave.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking two men who robbed the Super Fresh in the 900 block of Taylor Ave. on Tuesday. One of the men placed chewing gum on the check-out counter. When the cashier rang up the sale and opened the cash register drawer, he grabbed an undisclosed sum of money.

Escape: A 45-year-old resident of the county's work-release center in the 200 block of Courthouse Court failed to return to the facility Tuesday night and was being sought. Escape charges were pending against him.

Stolen car: A 1986 Toyota truck with tags 059285 was stolen Tuesday in the 1300 block of Deanwood Road.

Woodlawn Precinct

Theft: A piece of construction equipment was stolen Tuesday from Carson Lane and Old Court Road.

Theft from auto: Stereo equipment and a radar detector were RTC stolen Tuesday from a 1994 Buick Skylark parked at Flannery Lane and Liberty Road.

Stolen car: A two-door black 1992 Ford Mustang with tags YBH 066 and valued at $10,000 was stolen Tuesday in the 5600 block of St. Mary St.

Wilkens Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A 1991 Jeep Cherokee with tags 699720M was stolen yesterday in the 4200 block of Hollins Ferry Road.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A 1991 Mazda multipurpose van with tags 655396 was stolen Tuesday in the first block of Enchanted Hills Road.

Stolen car: A 1990 Honda Accord with tags BSE 891 was stolen Tuesday in the 11900 block of Reisterstown Road. The owner had abandoned it in the snow.
