New positions

McCormick names Langmead, Williamson

Charles T. Langmead has been named vice president of sales McCormick & Co.'s food service division. Mr. Langmead, who joined McCormick in 1976, will be responsible for management of the division's distributor and national account sales.

A Baltimore native, he has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Loyola College and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.

McCormick also named Robert C. Williamson director of procurement operations for the global sourcing group. The Medford, Mass., native has a bachelor's degree in business management from St. Mary's College in Moraga, Calif.

Three appointments made by archdiocese newspaper

The Catholic Review named Theresa G. Giardina director of development and public relations.

She recently was in the communications office of the planning team for the visit of Pope John Paul II. Before that the College of Notre Dame of Maryland graduate was public relations director of Mount de Sales Academy in Catonsville.

The archdiocese newspaper also named Kara E. Pruett and Kara Taylor as retail advertising account executives.

Ms. Pruett is a graduate of Loyola College, and worked at the Review as a classified sales representative. Ms. Taylor is a graduate of St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vt., and worked at T. Rowe Price before joining the Review.

Md. Science Center names visitor services director

Maryland Science Center appointed Joanne Meekins to the new position of senior director of visitor services. Before joining the center 16 years ago, she worked in retail-sales with Hutzler's department store and Bastian Brothers.

Sussman joins law firm of Council, Baradel

Frederick C. Sussman has joined Council, Baradel, Kosmerl & Nolan, an Annapolis law firm.

He was with Wright, Sussman & Elmore, and also was Annapolis city attorney and assistant Anne Arundel County solicitor.

Faerber named associate by Rockville law firm

Yolanda Stefanou Faerber has joined the Rockville law firm of Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker as an associate. She is assigned to the corporate and real estate departments.

Ms. Faerber holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and a law degree from American University. She previously worked for Piper & Marbury.

Commercial real estate

Holladay returns Patterson to firm she left in 1987

Holladay Corp./Holladay Property Services Inc. named Connie Patterson vice president, returning her to the firm where she worked from 1975 to 1987. She was vice president of Shannon & Luchs Co. and Polinger Shannon & Luchs Co.

A graduate of Ball State University, she is a certified property manager, licensed real estate broker and member of the Institute of Real Estate Management faculty.

Nottingham Properties Inc. appointed J. Michael Lynch its acquisitions manager. The company is master developer of White Marsh Town Center.

Before joining Nottingham, Mr. Lynch was with Circle Cos. and Wachovia Bank.

Papier Interiors & Design Group named Holly Bridget Dunn a designer. She comes to the Timonium company from Collaborative Design Group in Freehold, N.J. Ms. Dunn holds a bachelor's degree in interior design from Radford University.
