North county chamber elects officers, directors

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce recently elected new officers and a new board of directors.

The officers are:

President, John Smith, attorney; president-elect, Elaine Stevens, NationsBank; vice president,Christine Cogliano, The Red Rose; secretary, Kirk Falk, Innovative Financial Solutions; and treasurer, Pat Armiger, Plus & Minus Services.

The new directors are:

Barbara Floyd, Property Tax Reduction Specialists; John Foard, Edward D. Jones & Co.; Sandra Hartzell, Magic Moment Creations; Virginia Jones, VK Jones PC Strategies; Arnold Lord, Commercial Carpet Cleaning Service; Gary Rankir, Chesapeake Printing & Mailing; Hilda Hambruch, Wyman Park; Jeff Jefferson, Baltimore Gas and Electric Co.; Gregory King, Samuel Meisel & Co.; Andrew Meyer, Anne Arundel Community College; Bob Nobel, Westinghouse; Nick Schaus, Maryland Aviation Administration; and Leslie Smith, Elkridge Bank.

The board will be installed at the 24th Annual Presidential Ball, scheduled from 7 p.m. to midnight Feb. 10 at the BWI Marriott Hotel.

Severna Park chamber elects board chairwoman

The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce recently elected Betty Butler as board chairwoman.

Ms. Butler is finishing a year as president of the chamber and will assume her new position this month. She will be responsible for assisting with policy decisions.

An associate with the Gardiner Group, Ms. Butler is a former assistant vice president at NationsBank.

Annapolis bank appoints commercial loan executive

Annapolis National Bank has announced the appointment of Lee Smith as vice president of commercial lending. Mrs. Smith's responsibilities will include developing commercial loan business for the bank.

Before joining Annapolis National Bank, Mrs. Smith was with Elkridge Bank.

She is a member of several civic and business organizations. They include Anne Arundel Trade Council and the council's legislative committee and the North Arundel Chamber of Commerce and its board of directors.

She lives in Annapolis with her husband and daughter.
