Justin Singleton scored six of his 12 points in overtime as No. 18 St. Paul's (9-0) held off McDonogh, 66-64, last night.

Adair Newhall led St. Paul's with 19 points and Brian Cummings had 18 for McDonogh (5-4).

* Calvert Hall 72, Curley 44: Sam Anyan scored 18 points as No. 3 Calvert Hall (11-2) downed host Curley. Juan Dixon added 12 points for the Cardinals, who outscored the Friars 21-9 in the second quarter.

* Annapolis 93, South River 54: Jermaine Diggs had 29 points and 15 rebounds as the No. 6 Panthers (8-2) downed visiting South River.

* Aberdeen 71, John Carroll 67: Adam Vesely had 24 points, Tommie Mims added 20 and Gabe Neal finished with three baskets, but two of them came in the last two minutes, as No. 12 Aberdeen (6-2), rebounding from Wednesday's loss at C. Milton Wright, held off host John Carroll (3-6).

Jeff Miles had 22 points for John Carroll.

* St. Maria Goretti 73, Loyola 63: Phil Lane and Jay Piccolimini scored 23 and 22, respectively, to power host St. Maria Goretti (10-5) past No. 7 Loyola (8-3).

Jason Vogtman led Loyola with 16 points.

* Randallstown 82, Catonsville 54: Brian Broden scored 13 as No. 11 Randallstown defeated visiting Catonsville. Jeff Sewell led all scorers with 15.

* Glen Burnie 79, North County 74: Desmond Dailey scored 26, including the 1,000th point of his career, to lead No. 14 Glen Burnie (9-1). Dailey also had 10 rebounds and teammate Terry Gaither added 20 points.

* Centennial 49, Howard 47: Brian Otten hit two free throws with 10 seconds left to lift No. 16 Centennial (7-1). Matt Laycock led the Eagles with 16. Teron Gary led Howard with 13.

* Edmondson 56, Patterson 50: Carl Lewis' 19 points and 13 points from Dwight Reid helped No. 17 Edmondson improve to 7-4.

* Parkville 58, Woodlawn 47: Darrin Tucker and Paul Alderman each scored 15 points as Parkville improved to 8-1. Tucker added six assists for the Knights, who were 2-40 over the last two seasons.

* Mervo 75, Northwestern 62: Jamon Bailey had 23 points and eight assists as Mervo (5-2) beat host Northwestern for the second time this season.
