Kings: Mitch Richmond scored 41 points as Sacramento reached a season high in points and margin of victory in a 126-96 victory over Denver on Thursday.

Knicks: New York broke a three-game losing streak and won for the first time since Patrick Ewing was injured, beating New Jersey, 105-93, on Thursday.

Nets: P.J. Brown had 23 points and 11 rebounds in New Jersey's 105-93 loss to New York on Thursday.

76ers: Veteran guard Jeff Malone was released Thursday by the Philadelphia 76ers. Malone, who ranks 12th among active NBA players in points scored with 17,200, had averaged just 6.2 points in 25 games this season. In 2 1/2 seasons with the 76ers, he averaged 13.5 points in 71 games.

Timberwolves: Tom Gugliotta, who had 19 points, hit a 19-footer from the corner late in the game, bringing Minnesota from behind for the final time, and the Timberwolves beat the Phoenix Suns, 98-93, for the first time in their seven-year existence Thursday.
