No one injured as bullet slams into house

January 03, 1996

A bullet slammed into a Pasadena couple's home during New Year's celebrations shortly after midnight Monday, but no one was injured, county police said.

The couple were in a bedroom of their home in the 8000 block of Mansion House Crossing when they heard a loud noise, police said.

Officers found that a bullet had gone through the roof, attic insulation and a second-floor ceiling before bouncing off a wall and ricocheting down a staircase to the first floor. The bullet lodged in a wall at the base of the stairs, next to the room where the couple's 20-month-old child slept, police said.
