Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Southern District

Robbery: A 29-year-old woman from the 1100 block of Carroll St. was in the 1000 block of Scott St. yesterday afternoon when a man robbed her of $300 and a gold ring valued at $200.

Northeastern District

Robbery/arrest: Police arrested a man who on Monday robbed a resident of the 6000 block of York Road of his 11-month-old pit bull terrier, valued at $300, in the 1100 block of Cedarcroft Road. The robber was armed.

Eastern District

Rape/arrest: A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday in the rape of a 15-year-old girl in a van in the 2200 block of Aiken St. They were on their way to a New Year's Eve party when the man parked the vehicle and raped her.

Northern District

Assault: During an argument Monday in the 4200 block of Ivanhoe Ave., a man struck another man several times with a baseball bat. The victim was treated at Union Memorial Hospital for a fractured left shoulder and released.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A 24-year-old resident of the 3800 block of Wabash Ave. was in the 3600 block of Springdale Ave. on Monday when a man shot him in the leg. The victim was treated at Liberty Medical Center before being transferred to Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Electronic equipment of unknown value was stolen Monday from Luskin's in the 8600 block of Pulaski Highway. Entry was gained by breaking a window with a brick.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: A moped valued at more than $300 was stolen Monday from an apartment in the 100 block of Williams Ave.

Theft: Someone entered the locker of an employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp. in Sparrows Point on Sunday and stole a cellular phone valued at $600.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A resident of the first block of Rainflower Path was about to enter her home Monday night when two men stole her purse containing cash, her hearing aid and other property, together valued at about $1,000.

Shooting/arrest: Police arrested a resident of the 20300 block of W. Liberty Road on Sunday and charged him with attempted murder. A man reportedly fired a 9 mm handgun at a car occupied by a man he knew, grazing him in the head. The victim was in good condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Held at the county Detention Center on $500,000 bond was Edward Page Erler, 53.
