Line: Ohio State by 4 1/2
Players to watch:
Eddie George, Ohio State: The Heisman Trophy winner has 11 straight 100-yard games, and rushed for a school-record 1,826 yards.
Peyton Manning, Tennessee: The sophomore quarterback set school records with 2,954 yards passing, 244 completions and 64.2 completion percentage.
Best win:
Ohio State 28, Penn State 25: The Buckeyes avenged a 63-14 loss in 1994, as George scored the game-winning touchdown on a 6-yard run with 1:42 remaining.
Tennessee 41, Alabama 14: Manning threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Volunteers beat the Crimson Tide for the first time since 1985.
Outlook:
Perhaps the most appealing bowl matchup besides the Fiesta Bowl. The Buckeyes complement George with quarterback Bobby Hoying (3,023 yards passing and 28 touchdowns) and wide receiver Terry Glenn (57 receptions for 1,316 yards and 17 touchdowns). When Manning throws, look for Joey Kent (school-record 69 catches for 1,055 yards), and when he doesn't, watch out for Jay Graham (school-record 1,438 yards rushing).
