Caudill takes new post at Admiral Fell Inn

The Admiral Fell Inn named Nancy P. Caudill sales and marketing director to oversee the inn's expansion into the corporate travel and meetings arena. She will also coordinate sales for the Savannah, Pan Handle and the Point restaurants at the Admiral Fell.

Ms. Caudill was formerly community affairs coordinator at the inn. Prior to that, she was an art director for Rag Factory Graphics Inc.

Fila USA names Falk director of public relations

Fila USA named Stephanie Falk director of public relations for all divisions of the Hunt Valley-based firm. She will oversee media relations, special events, cause-related marketing and sports and product publicity.

Before joining Fila, Ms. Falk was director of marketing communications for Woolworth's Specialty Athletic Group. She has a bachelor's degree in communications from Syracuse University.

Nimmo joins Hopkins' Applied Physics Lab

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory appointed Ruth E. Nimmo head of its Business and Information Services Department, which includes accounting, budget, computing, purchasing and subcontract operations.

Ms. Nimmo previously served as vice president of administration at IIT Research Institute in Chicago.

She has a bachelor's of science degree in marketing from the University of Maryland College Park and a master's of business administration from the State University of New York at Albany. She lives in Gambrills with her husband, Dr. Richard Feldman.

Doub to head employment at League Industries

League Industries, a program of The League: Serving People With Physical Disabilities, named Dorothy A. Doub director of League Employment. Ms. Doub has 11 years of marketing management experience in employment rehabilitation. She has both a bachelor's of science degree and a master's degree in marketing from the University of Baltimore.

Johnson, Askin heading AlliedSignal units

AlliedSignal Communications Systems has realigned its Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence business into two separate but integrated enterprises and appointed new directors for each department.

Obie Johnson joins AlliedSignal as director of Tactical Information Systems. He comes from E-Systems of St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. Johnson earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University and a master of science in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida.

Robert Askin has been promoted to director of the Combat Identification Systems/Platform Integration unit. Mr. Askin holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.


Fox, Alvarez join Annapolis-based firm

Cyphers, Wood, Weinberg & Lambird Inc, an Annapolis-based advertising marketing and public relations firm, hired Bruce Fox as creative director and Patricia Alvarez as public relations manager.

Mr. Fox has a bachelor of arts degree in graphic arts from the Maryland Institute, College of Art.

Before joining CWW&L, he was a free-lance creative designer and will continue to produce designs for Martin Gillet, a Baltimore manufacturer of salad dressing and condiments.

Ms. Alvarez has a bachelor of arts degree in speech communications from Old Dominion University and a master of science degree in public relations from Boston University.

She previously worked as corporate marketing and public relations coordinator for Phillips Seafood.

Helmrath in new post at accounting firm

Clifton, Gunderson & Co., a regional certified public accounting and consulting firm, named Christopher Helmrath manager of client development.

Mr. Helmrath was previously a district manager for Household Bank. He is an adjunct assistant professor of marketing at the Sellinger School of Business and Management at Loyola College.

Neiman an associate at Gordon, Feinblatt

Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander LLC, Maryland's eighth-largest law firm, said Joshua Edward Neiman Neiman has joined the firm as an associate in its litigation department. Mr. Neiman formerly worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Frank A. Kaufman of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and as a law clerk for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Mr. Neiman holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. He currently resides in Baltimore. Linowes and Blocher said Anthony E. Waller, Louis M. Lyons II and Vincent Leon-Guerrero have joined the Silver Spring law firm as associates.

Mr. Waller, a graduate of the University of Georgia Law School, served as an associate county attorney for Calvert County before joining the firm's land use group.

A 1995 cum laude graduate of The American University, Washington College of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Administrative Law Journal, Mr. Lyons is a member of the transactions group.

Mr. Leon-Guerrero is a 1995 summa cum laude graduate of AU'sWashington College of Law. He will practice in the bankruptcy group.


Walpert, Smullian promotes Leibowitz

Walpert, Smullian & Blumenthal P.A., the regional public accounting/management consulting firm, elected David S. Leibowitz a principal of the firm.

Mr. Leibowitz works primarily with clients in the retail automobile industry. He is a member of both The American Institute and Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is a resident of Owings Mills.
