Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.
Southern District
Stabbing: A 52-year-old man and his wife were walking across a parking lot at Cherry Hill Shopping Center in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road on Tuesday night when they saw two suspicious men. The men caught up to the couple and one pulled a handgun and shot the man three times in the right side and left leg. The victim was in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. No arrests had been made and police knew of no motive.
Robbery try/Stabbing: Police were seeking two men in the stabbing Tuesday night of the owner of Ron's Bar in the 3600 block of Fairfield Ave. during an attempted robbery. When the men went behind the counter, the owner confronted them and was stabbed twice in the chest. The men fled without taking any money. The owner was in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Central District
Assault: A man pressed a handgun to the head of a woman in the 1300 block of Etting St. yesterday and threatened to shoot her. She was not injured.
Northeastern District
Robbery: Three men, one armed with a knife, robbed Hobbit's Deli in the 4500 block of Bowleys Lane on Tuesday of more than $300. One man placed the knife to an employee's neck and threatened to kill him.
Robbery: A gunman robbed Cliftmont Deli in the 3500 block of Cliftmont Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money Tuesday and a customer of $10.
Northwestern District
Theft try/arrest: Police arrested a 16-year-old boy who attempted to steal a 1992 Cadillac in the 4300 block of Wentworth Road on Tuesday. After being charged as a juvenile, he was released to his parents' custody.
Robbery: A 47-year-old resident of the 5900 block of Millbrook Park Drive in Baltimore County was in the 5800 block of Park Heights Ave. on Tuesday when three boys knocked her to the pavement and stole her purse.
Western District
Officer assaulted/arrest: Stabbing:Stabbing: A 32-year-old man was in the 1000 block of W. Fayette St. on Tuesday when a man stabbed him in the back. The victim was in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Woodlawn Precinct
Burglary: Someone entered Carson & Gray Inc. in the 2100 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. yesterday after breaking a side window and stole computer equipment valued at more than $2,000.
Burglary: Copper pipes valued at nearly $2,000 was stolen yesterday from a house under construction in the 3500 block of Green Cone Road.
North Point Precinct
Theft/arrest: A 14-year-old East Baltimore boy was arrested Tuesday when he attempted to leave the Sears Roebuck store at Eastpoint Mall in the 7800 block of Eastern Blvd. without paying for a radio-controlled car valued at more than $130.
Theft: During a party at the home of a state correctional officer in the 1600 block of Gray Place on Tuesday, someone stole a gold nugget ring with diamonds. The ring was valued at more than $400.
Parkville Precinct
Robbery: A 60-year-old woman was walking across the parking lot of the Perring Plaza Shopping Center in the 1900 block of E. Joppa Road on Tuesday when a man shoved her and stole her purse.
