LOOKING FOR a last-minute Christmas gift? Here is an idea that may appeal to you.
Boy Scout Troop 550, sponsored by Linthicum Elementary School Parent Teachers Association, is selling prints of the old Linthicum railway station to raise money for operating expenses.
The original rendition of the 1887 railway station by local artist George Edwards was in charcoal. The prints are signed, dated and numbered. A limited number are being offered. A copy is on view at the Linthicum branch library.

Christmas trees for sale

The Linthicum Elementary School Parent Teacher Association is selling a "Dining Out" calendar that features "buy one, get one free" coupons from a different restaurant each month.
Local restaurants include the Olive Grove, Linthicum Lunchateria, Michener's at the BWI Sheraton and JW's Steakhouse at the BWI Marriot.
The calendar will be on sale for $8 at school events this month or at Bonnie Mac's Variety store in the Shipley-Linthicum Shopping Center.

The Notables entertain
The Notables, an entertainment group with the Patapsco Valley American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 3850, will bring holiday cheer to several groups.
They will give a concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Roland Park Retirement Place, 840 W. 40th St. in Baltimore.
Mrs. Ellen MacNaught, former state director for the AARP, has invited the group to perform Thursday at the Leland Community Center in Bethesda.
The group will have an end-of-the-year party at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 27 at Snyders Willow Grove Restaurant. For reservations, members should call Charles Haslup, director, at 859-1850.
Democratic Club meets
The District 32 Democratic Club will have its monthly meeting Thursday at the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department. Members are asked to bring a meat, vegetable or dessert dish for the potluck dinner that begins at 7 p.m.
